Photo Friday                    WORK:   TABLES & DESKS

How wrong it is for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than to create it herself.

Our truck's tail gate:  A very-used work surface.  Here, ready to spruce up the churchyard.

We have always had old oak desks in our home.  Too many, it seemed for little spaces.  But I've always loved them with their nicks and scratches, swirly and checked wood grain and dove-tail workmanship.  Sturdy little keys, still not lost, fitting into sweet little keyholes - locks that still work!

lovely old key holes

slide out work spaces on both sides, I love!

My old oak desk  is unreasonably big, maybe, but perfect for working on large projects; several at once or just my big messes in general.

  1. This is a lovely collection of desktops and work spaces, and the work and artwork thereon.

I love the photo of the tail gate image best of all, though, because it is a work space that doesn't often come to mind, but yet it carries so many memories of work. Well, particularly bark dust.

  2. Wonderful art work and desk ♥ The drawing of the girl with red hair and freckles could be my 11 year old daughter!
